Social Media Policy

This social media policy has been established to regulate the use of official social media accounts (media in which users transmit and form information using the internet and online technologies) by Kureha Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "the company") and ensure the compliance of corporate officers and employees.

Basic guidelines for using social media

Officers and employees of the Company should recognize and pay close attention to the characteristics of social media, including that it enables easy two-way transmission of information, that such information can be viewed by an unspecified number of people, and that it is difficult to delete posted content once it has been published. Officers and employees of the Company are expected to use social media appropriately with moderation and common sense, and be mindful of the following points:

  1. Be aware that posts can be viewed by an unspecified number of people and that it is difficult to delete posted content once it has been published.
  2. Pay attention to the content of the information you send and how you send it, and take care not to spread false information or cause misunderstandings.
  3. Do not publish posts that include confidential, private or personal information of the Company and its customers, business partners, employees or other stakeholders.
  4. Do not publish posts that slander the Company and its customers, business partners, employees or other stakeholders, or that can otherwise damage their credibility.
  5. Social media users must observe not only laws and regulations, but also the Kureha Group Ethical Charter, the Compliance Code of Conduct, and the Company's internal rules, including employment regulations. Do not post anything that violates the rights of third parties, such as privacy rights, portrait rights, and copyrights.
  6. Do not post anything that violates social norms on for instance harassment or discrimination. Do not use any social media functions, posts or otherwise, to engage in acts that violate social norms.
  7. Even when publishing private posts, be mindful that they may be recognized as coming from an officer or employee of the Company.
